October has certainly flown by for this little author/ illustrator. In less than a week I'll be taking off to visit the land of the rising sun again after five years to go to a friend's wedding. Although I'm excited about visiting Japan again, I'm not so confident in my language speaking abilities anymore. So I study. The consequence of me studying all the time however means that no art will be done so this site won't update for awhile.
But some good news however, I am participating in NaNoMango '10 in November and will be drawing pages during my quiet down times while traveling. I have been working on pre-NaNoMango memes (one of which I've managed to put up here) for How to Hunt for Ghosts.
Because of my two week trip I won't be able to make this year's SugoiCon in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky (I heard Fred Gallagher is a guest this year which is awesome). Speaking of cons, I'm still on the "acknowledged" status for Ohayocon's artist alley, a fact that is making me more and more nervous as the weeks tick by. Some people on the Ohayocon forums have already stated that they have been accepted so now I'm left wondering what is taking so long. Yesterday I did reserve a room for the convention, but if I don't get a table I probably won't be going to the convention.
--------On to Haunted Hoosier Halls promotional stuff-----------------------
Tomorrow my friend Dan T. Hall is debuting his latest paradocumentary "Ghost Stories 4" which I was a part of (yes, I am IMDB searchable now)at the Indiana State Museum IMAX theater in Indianapolis. If you are interested, the show starts at 7:30pm and will be screened all day Sunday at the theater. Obviously since it is an independent movie about local Indiana haunted locations the movie is getting a limited release.
Anyway, gotta get back to bed so I can get over this stupid laryngitis.
Cheers,
Kat
