I didn't go but I lurked the ACen forums after hearing "Line Con" on other boards. The staff that are posting aren't really helping the situation any. Rule #1 of customer service: Don't argue with the customer.

Most of what I'm seeing posted is "help out with staff or shut up!" How do they expect people to help out at a convention that they got shafted at this year? Even some of the volunteers are complaining. >.<

*Insert cheap plug for GenCon here* :P

A group of us wanted to start a clap/chant saying "Hurry Up", but I dropped out of line before the plan went into fruition. But when we left, we took a good group of twelve with us who were also sick of waiting.

Mike was awesome-scary when he yelled at the staff member arguing with him about the wait. I've seriously never seen him so angry.

The poor treatment this year may not prevent Acen next year, but if the poor treatment continues in 2009 and word gets out, their attendance may drop severely.
